Make a Kite & Record a Wish

If you could send one wish into the sky, what would it be? A world without wars? A planet full of butterflies? More ice cream for everyone?

Join artist Holly Austin and the playful minds behind Kite Choir for a little making, dreaming and sky-high thinking. Get your hands busy creating your very own kite, then write or draw a wish for the world. It could be enormous, wonderfully impossible or something tiny and tender that only you know.

Next, step up to the microphone and whisper your wish. Your voice will join Kite Choir: A Global Symphony, an ever-growing chorus of children's voices from around the planet, woven into a magical artwork of sound, wind and flight.

No kite-making skills or singing voice required. Just busy hands, a busier imagination and something you'd like to whisper for a better tomorrow. Make a kite and light up our beloved Sydney skyline.

Watch and listen as the full chorus flies from the foot of the Sydney Opera House during Kite Choir.
