What is summer without a backyard BBQ, and what is Sydney Festival without a place to gather? Introducing The Yard, a high-quality street-food smorgasbord with sweeping harbour views and all your favourite people.

Delicious pop-up restaurants and bars will dot the hilltop at Barangaroo Reserve to create an al fresco food experience that hits Sydney's summer sweet spot. A place to refuel before and after your show, to run into friends, and to take a beat with a beautiful vista before your eyes and decadent smells wafting up your nose.

The Yard is a perfectly positioned pitstop at the heart of the Festival. Just over the hill on Stargazer's Lawn is Waynapuni Pools installation – part art park, part immersive spa experience made from car parts, whole vibe. Just down the road at Roslyn Packer Theatre, our major theatre and comedy events. Beneath your feet in The Cutaway, international dance at a grand scale and Summer School salons and talks at an intimate scale. With plenty more a short metro or train stop away.
