Grammy-nominated Tibetan artist Tenzin Choegyal has performed around the world at major venues like New York’s Carnegie Hall and now takes up at residence at Bankstown Arts Centre. Two nights of ethereal beauty will include soaring melodies from his Whispering Sky album and a new collaboration with rising star Wytchings. Complementing these performances is an intimate musician’s workshop led by Tenzin Choegyal and guest artist Tenzin Kunsang.  

Whispering Sky: Tenzin Cheogyal with Tenzin Kunsang – 16 January, 7.30pm

For his first performance, Tenzin blends Tibetan melodies from his album Whispering Sky with Wytchings’ synths and explores themes of impermanence, compassion, and the cycle of life, in a thrilling new intergenerational collaboration with the Western Sydney star.

On the second night, Tenzin will be joined by guest artist Tenzin Kunsang – a highly respected singer, dancer and multi-instrumentalist – together, they share unique instrumentations, sublime flute solos and soaring vocals that have thrilled audiences around the globe.  This unique performance embraces meditative mantras, joyful folk tunes and spoken word, infused with the essence of Tibetan wisdom and a sound as expansive as the Himalayas.
