Volunteer with Sydney Festival 2026 


Sydney Festival 2026 volunteer applications are now open! 

Would you like to share your passion for the arts, make new connections and experience a unique side of Sydney Festival? Then look no further – we are looking for a team of brilliant and dynamic volunteers for Sydney Festival 2026 and we would love you to apply.

As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in bringing this renowned festival to life, all while gaining invaluable experience, building connections and contributing to a world-class event.

Each year, we work with a cohort of incredible volunteers to deliver key projects. We look forward to welcoming back our strong community of returning volunteers and cannot wait to invite a host of new friends to join the Sydney Festival family. 


    Volunteer Recruitment Timeline 


    Applications Open 

    Applications are now open. Volunteers can submit applications through Be Collective, our volunteer management portal, until Thursday 27th November 2024.

    Application Results 

    All volunteers will be contacted about the result of their application by Thursday 4th December and to discuss any questions you might have about volunteering. 

    Induction and Trainings 

    To ensure you are well equipped for the festival, all successful applicants are required to attend an induction session held in mid-December.

      What we need from volunteers

      • A happy, positive and welcoming attitude 
      • Flexible and reliable
      • Available for at least three shifts across the festival at various times including morning, afternoon and evening shifts
      • Attend an induction session in December
      • Complete any other necessary training
      • Must be aged 18 and above


      Accepted volunteers can join our Official Volunteer Facebook Group to keep in touch with each other, share photos and stay up to date with information from Sydney Festival.
