Home to Sydney Festival events for many years, Riverside Theatres is the premier performing arts venue in Western Sydney.
Riverside Theatres is the centrepiece of performance culture in Sydney’s central city, Parramatta. Well-established and highly respected, both by the local community and the national arts industry, Riverside is a successful cultural and community asset of the City of Parramatta Council.

Please do not attend if you feel unwell, are experiencing any symptoms of COVID and/or have been in contact with a confirmed case or are awaiting COVID test results. Call our Box Office team prior to the date of the performance so we can get you into another performance or issue a refund if required.

Church Street is currently closed to general traffic between Market & Macquarie Streets, to allow for Parramatta Light Rail works. If driving, you may wish to allow extra time to reach the venue. Plan ahead by checking the LiveTraffic website here.
TRAIN
Parramatta is linked from all directions by train. The theatre is approximately a 15 minute walk from Parramatta Train Station. Exit from Darcy Street, turn right into Church Street and follow it up to the theatre, just across the Lennox Bridge.
BUS
Bus services are available to Parramatta from all directions: through Hills Bus, Sydney Buses and Hopkinsons. The nearest bus stops are on Wilde Ave/Smith St – a short walk away from the theatre.
FERRY
Parramatta Wharf is an enjoyable 8 minute walk to us along the river.
The Parramatta Ferry Terminal is only a short 10 minute walk along the river from Riverside.

PARKING
Please see the Riverside website for more information. There are also a number of on road pay and display car parks in the surrounding area.
ENTRY AND PARKING
Riverside offers very limited, pre-booked parking for patrons with an Accessible Parking Permit.
Level access from Church Street leads directly into the foyers and through to all spaces and facilities.
INSIDE THE VENUE
Riverside offers level access and space for wheelchairs in all venues.Please let Riverside’s Box Office know if you need level access or a wheelchair space at the time of your booking.
Accessible toilet facilities are located at either end of the foyer.
Riverside has installed hearing systems in all three theatres. Patrons can choose from a single ear earpiece a neck loop attached to their own hearing aid or their own headphones, to amplify the sound from the stage. This system is adaptable for people with all types of hearing loss. To access this free service, please pre-book the hearing system when you book your tickets.
