BY TRAIN

Redfern Station
Redfern Station is approximately a 7 minute walk from The Grand Electric. From Redfern Station, exit towards Lawson Street and head east towards Cleveland Street. Turn right onto Cleveland Street and continue towards the venue at 199 Cleveland Street. The entrance to The Grand Electric is down the laneway at 199 Cleveland Street.

Central Station
Central Station is approximately a 9 minute walk from The Grand Electric when exiting via Exit 6. From the station, head towards Chalmers Street and continue north-east towards Cleveland Street. Turn right onto Cleveland Street and continue to 199 Cleveland Street. The venue entrance is located down the laneway.

BY LIGHT RAIL

Central Chalmers Street Light Rail
Central Chalmers Street Light Rail stop is approximately a 10 minute walk from The Grand Electric. From the stop, head south along Chalmers Street towards Cleveland Street, then turn left onto Cleveland Street and continue towards 199 Cleveland Street. The venue entrance is down the laneway.

BY BUS

A number of bus services operate along Cleveland Street and nearby streets in Surry Hills. Bus stops close to The Grand Electric include Cleveland St opp Prince Alfred Park, approximately 160m or a 2 minute walk from the venue, and Cleveland St before Bourke St, approximately a 3 minute walk away. 

BY CAR

The Grand Electric is located in Surry Hills where there is limited street parking available. The nearest streets with street parking are Pitt Street (2 hour parking until 10pm every day) and George Street (unlimited after 5pm and on weekends). There are disabled parking bays at 103-109 George Street and 10 Pitt Street. The nearest parking garage is Wilson Parking – 55 Holt St Surry Hills, which is an 10 minute walk.

BY WALKING

The Grand Electric is located in Surry Hills, approximately a 7 minute walk from Redfern Station and a 9 minute walk from Central Station. The venue is also within walking distance of Prince Alfred Park, Crown Street and the wider Surry Hills precinct.

The venue entrance is located down the laneway at 199 Cleveland Street.

Currently, The Grand Electric is not fully accessible. The theatre has level access from the street. However, due to the age of the building and its location in a heritage conservation area there are currently no accessible or ambulant toilet facilities on site.
