Have you seen our digital archives lately? They're growing. 

Set live during our 50th anniversary Festival and regularly added to since, the digital archives are an evolving treasure-trove of pictures, footage and stories from across 50 years of Sydney Festival. 

Not just a history of the Festival, they're a snapshot of Sydney arts, culture and crowds from decades past up until the present. There are mega-scale productions and mega-80s perms, 90s news readers, iconic actors, fond memories and forgotten gems.

Intended to entertain you whilst picnicking at Sydney Symphony Under the Stars, this video was set to be splashed across the screens of Tumbalong Park and accompanied by a moving composition by Nigel Westlake played live. 

Alas, the rain rained away our well-laid plans, and we all went home soggy of sock and spirit before the video could be aired.
