Located in the heart of the University of Sydney, the Seymour Centre is a vibrant arts hub in the Inner West, with three separate theatre spaces, the Sound Lounge music bar, expansive foyers and a large courtyard.
The Seymour presents a diverse range of contemporary performing arts and is home to a number of innovative performance companies. Each year the Seymour welcomes over 250,000 visitors, from theatre goers, theatre creators and directors to designers, performers and students.
With an impressive history of presenting, promoting and developing great Australian performances, the Seymour offers quality arts experiences in one of Sydney’s most relaxed and accessible theatre environments.
Access parking is located on Maze Cres within the University of Sydney, and there is lift access to all levels of the centre.
Wheelchair seating is available in all venues, and fully accessible toilets are located on the ground floor. Hearing loops are available in two theatres.
The Seymour is a
Companion Card affiliate. Cardholders must present their card when booking and
attending a performance.
The closest secure car park is on the corner of Cleveland Street and Shepherd Street. Limited free parking is available at the University of Sydney and in the surrounding streets.
The closest train stations are Redfern (7 minute walk) and Central (20 minute walk).
Routes 423, 426, 428 and M30 depart regularly from Stand L at Railway Square, Central Station, and stop directly outside the Seymour on City Road.
