Sydney International Regatta Centre
The Sydney International Regatta Centre is located 5 minutes from Penrith, 30 minutes from Parramatta, 40 minutes from Homebush Bay and 60 minutes from Sydney's CBD.
Set on 196 hectares of native and landscaped parkland it is one of the best rowing and sprint kayak courses in the world. The Centre won international acclaim while hosting 825 athletes from 56 countries during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. It has now been re-invented to become a popular sporting, corporate and social venue and receives an average of 50,000 visitors a month.
Public Transport
The nearest bus, train and taxi services operate from Penrith Railway Station, about 6km from the centre. At present there are no regular public transport routes to the venue.
By Car
If travelling from the city, exit the M4 Motorway at the Northern Road and follow the signs from the venue. The M2 Motorway provides an alternative route whereby visitors can travel to the venue via Windsor and Richmond. The M7 now provides an additional, faster, link from the northern suburbs. There is parking available on-site.
Access
Accessible parking is available directly onsite, on level ground. You will be directed and assisted by Sydney Festival marshalls to the parking area (enter at Gate A, please refer to the map). There is a reserved accessible viewing area. Please allow plenty of time. Phone 8248 6500 for further information.
A map to help you get there can be downloaded here.
