Australian Museum facade
The Australian Museum is located on the corner of College Street and William Street in central Sydney. Your Name in Lights will be installed on the Museum's William Street external façade.
The Museum is a leading cultural attraction and a hub of information, education, resources and research, with a mission is to inspire the exploration of nature and culture.
Access
The Museum offers a set-down and pick-up point for visitors with wheelchairs. Due to limited space this car space must be booked in advance through the Museum on 02 9320 6335.
There are ramps throughout the Museum and two lifts to take you between floors. All doors are automatic. A wheelchair accessible toilet is located on Level 2 inside the Search & Discover entrance near the lifts.
Public Transport
Trains - the nearest train stations are St James, Museum and Town Hall.
Buses - the Museum is on the Sydney Explorer bus route and is a five minute walk to the centre of the city. For George Street bus services, get off at Town Hall and walk up Park Street.

Bicycles
Bicycles may be secured to the bicycle rack at the base of the Museum entrance steps on College Street.
Car Parking
There are three parking stations within walking distance of the Museum and there is metered parking available on streets near the Museum.
