The Sydney Opera House is one of the most widely recognised performing arts venues in the world. Sydney Festival has presented a diverse range of events at the Sydney Opera House, and is proud to continue doing so for the Sydney Festival 2010. The Sydney Opera House encompasses six unique venues, including the Concert Hall, the Opera Theatre, the Drama Theatre, the Playhouse, the Studio, and the Forecourt.
Concert Hall
The Concert Hall is the largest interior venue at Sydney Opera House. With its high vaulted ceiling and interior finishes of brush box and white birch timber it is designed primarily for acoustic performances. All seating in the Concert Hall is reserved seating.
Drama Theatre
The Drama Theatre is a medium sized theatre comprising of one section of seating. It is most suitable for drama, dance and small scale musical productions as well as spoken word presentations. The auditorium is raked from the fourth row, ensuring good sightlines from all seats. All seating in the Drama Theatre is reserved seating.
Forecourt
The Forecourt is a spectacular open-air venue with breathtaking Harbour views. The world-famous white sails provide a striking backdrop and unmistakable association with Sydney Opera House. All tickets for the Forecourt are general admission.

All theatres operate licensed bars, which are open from 1 hour prior to performances. They serve refreshments and light snacks.
Public Transport
Circular Quay is a five to seven minute walk from the Sydney Opera House. You can catch buses, trains and ferries to Circular Quay.

Car Parking
The Sydney Opera House Car Park is a public car park serving Sydney Opera House visitors and ticket buyers, as well as visitors and residents of East Circular Quay and Macquarie Street. There are 11 accessible parking spaces on Level 1 and 12 spaces on Level 6 of the car park for holders of RTA Mobility Parking Scheme permits. Car spaces on Level 6 also have direct wheelchair access to lifts. The closest public car park to Sydney Opera House is Secure Parking at 131 Macquarie Street.
