The Very Best is Malawian singer Esau Mwamwaya and UK DJ/producer duo Radioclit. Teaming up to produce a free mix tape, Radioclit backed Mwamwaya’s vocals, sung in Chichewa, with everything from Architecture in Helsinki to Michael Jackson’s theme from Free Willy to create the leftfield surprise of 2008 that joyously crashed all year-end lists. Radioclit also play their own DJ set alongside the Ro Sham Bo DJs. Spruce Lee plays troppo house and fruity shack rap with Kween G and special guests from Sydney’s best African MCs live on the mic.
