Love our free event program? Become a Festival supporter and help make it possible.
Did you know that a large part of Sydney Festival’s program is made up of free events?
Some of our most popular and well received Festival moments have been free. Maybe you helped build the Ephemeral City (SF16), marveled at Jurassic Plastic (SF18), or rolled around at The Beach (SF17). As a non-profit organisation our income comes from multiple sources, including ticket sales and government funding, but we also rely on the generous support of our donors to help make the Festival possible.
The Maple-Browns, through their family owned business Rockend, are among a growing number of like-minded private donors who have become great supporters of Sydney Festival – and huge fans of our free events. Suzanne Maple-Brown believes that “Rockend shares a responsibility with other businesses to contribute to the cultural life of Sydney."
"There is no better way than supporting Sydney Festival in their free festival events,” she says. “We at Rockend are motivated to support ways to build communities through connecting people,” adds Rockend CEO Alister Maple-Brown.

At Sydney Festival, we’re committed to continue offering these kind of spectacular free events, but can’t do it without your help.
