How to get there

An Evening at the Headland takes place in Barangaroo Reserve. Information on how to get to there by car or public transport can be found here.

Entry into the venue is through The Cutaway, via Hickson Road. Please note, the Merriman Street and Munns Reserve entrances will be closed on the night. If you enter via Towns Place, The Cutaway entry is an 800m walk through Barangaroo Reserve. See the site map here to assist your arrival.

When to arrive

We recommend arriving early to Barangaroo Reserve. Gates open at 7:00 PM, 90 minutes before performances are due to begin.

Entry is via The Cutaway at Barangaroo Reserve (via Hickson Road) and you’ll need to check in using the Service NSW app for COVID safety.

On your ticket you will find an allocated colour section (pink, red, blue etc.) that will indicate where you will be seated. Check the site map here.

Once you are checked in you will be given a coloured wristband and directed to your section. Please follow instructions from the Sydney Festival team. Seats in your section are general admission, and it is advised to arrive early to secure your preferred seat.

What to bring

The Headland is an all-weather venue which proceeds rain or shine. Come prepared for all weather conditions.

Chairs are also provided, so you don’t need to bring your own seating as this has been provided for you.

In line with NSW Government regulations, all patrons aged 13 and over will also need to wear a face mask at this venue so please bring your own face mask and wear it at all times.

Food and drink

Food and drinks are available onsite from 7:00 PM. Pick up delicious treats from the food trucks and enjoy a drink from our bar stocked with James Squire beer, Alpha Box & Dice wine and Four Pillars gin cocktails.

For COVID Safety, payment is strictly by card only.
