A diverse showcase of new works by more than 20 exceptional Pacific artists celebrating both customary and contemporary art practice.
Wansolwara: One Salt Water brings together exhibitions, performances and events from across the Pacific and throughout the Great Ocean, reflecting a connected waterscape that holds distinct and diverse cultures and communities.
Celebrating the depth and diversity of contemporary Pacific and Great Ocean visual and material culture, the exhibition places customary practices alongside contemporary articulations in moving image, design, writing and art.

This day-long symposium accompanying the exhibition project Wansolwara: One Salt Water features leading academics, scientists and exhibiting artists as they debate and discuss thematics of the exhibition.

Kids Program: Dance & Adornment
13–17 Jan from 10.30am to 12.30pm
Families are invited to the Chinese Garden of Friendship to a special series of workshops held in conjunction with the Sydney Festival that explore dance and dance adornments. Over two hours create your own accessory and devise a new dance that considers ideas of water and connectivity.
