We have a few places left for 10-12 year old children to participate in this unique event during January 2008. Register quickly to be involved.

Over about a week, your child will get to participate in a series of training workshops with professional stylists and then offer free haircuts to members of the public in real hair salons!

This is an amazing opportunity for children to engage with the public in a guided, fun and stimulating way during the January school holidays.

Anyone aged 10-12 can take part.

Children will be required to commit to activities over a week and a half, from Friday 11 January to Tuesday 22 January.

What's involved?

Your child will need to participate in:
- an introductory workshop
- 2 x 2-hour hair-cutting training sessions
- 2 x 4-hour hair-cutting days at salons in both Parramatta and Darlinghurst
- a concluding workshop

Sydney Festival and Parramatta City Council provide:
- transport assistance to the workshop, training and haircutting venues from within Parramatta
- refreshments for the children
