"The Daily and The Sunday Telegraph's and Sydney Festival have worked together since 1998 to build a new readership for the newspapers and at the same time, new audiences for the Festival.
The Daily and The Sunday Telegraph's positions as The Official Newspapers of the Festival has enabled it to reach audiences which have not traditionally been associated with the newspapers.
The Festival, in turn, has been able to promote its events to an entirely new audience, outside its own core circle. Each organisation brings its highly qualified marketing teams together each year, to fulfil one another's objectives through innovative and creative campaigns to support the partnership.
The Daily and The Sunday Telegraph are the exclusive Official Newspapers of Sydney Festival and assists the Festival to:
- Stage the high profile, popular free Domain Series with Symphony in the Domain and Jazz in the Domain; - Print, promote and disseminate its key marketing material, including the Festival Brochure; - Promote appropriate Festival events through advertising in The Daily and The Sunday Telegraphs and dedicated Editorial.
In return, the Festival provides News with a major presence at both Domain Concerts, an association with a range of different events in each year, and branding and corporate entertaining opportunities across the entire Festival."
