"The Botanic Gardens Trust welcomes the Sydney Festival to the Domain for another summer of free public entertainment with the Sydney Festival Domain Concert Series.

A treasured tradition of the Domain is its role as the venue for public celebrations in Sydney. In 2008 the Trust supports another season of al fresco cultural performances in the Domain celebrating Sydney's lifestyle.

Every year tens of thousands of Sydneysiders and visitors enjoy Sydney Festival's free outdoor concerts Symphony in the Domain and Jazz in the Domain. The relaxed evening picnic format reflects the Sydney lifestyle combining our appreciation of the Arts, Sydney's climate and our precious natural environment.

Hosting this Concert Series is one of the ways the Trust fulfils its mission to inspire the appreciation and conservation of plants. We invite concert-goers to enjoy the concerts, value this beautiful location, share the experience with friends and family and be inspired to return again and again.
