Late Night at the Bar

The Keystone Festival Bar will be staying open late this year, with a huge lineup of artists to keep you dancing the night away. With free entry after 11.30pm* the Bar's sure to become your favourite late night venue this summer.

Sunday 8th: Gramophone Man
The original, the effervescent, the unconventional, Gramophone Man will be bringing the boogie-woogie to the Keystone Festival Bar. His infectious, unpredictable sets will fill your Sunday evening a whole lotta hot-patootie, the perfect accompaniment to our funked-up live lineup.

Monday 9th: Frames
Pushing the sounds of warm & grooving handclap disco, hypnotic & intricate hipthrust house and energetic, driving lethairdown-techno, no genre is safe and nothing is taboo as Frames spins and warps his magic following on from a night of indie super-heroes.

Wed 11th: Donny Benet and PVT (DJ set)
Solo artist Donny Benet is the son of Antonio Giacomelli Benét, the famous Italian accordionist who made his name recording popular disco songs of the 1970's. Armed with a Drum Machine, Fender Rhodes and a Moog Synthesizer with a pitch bender that won't stop, Donny will turn the Keystone Festival Bar into a Las Vegas night-time heaven.

Trading in their instruments to hit the decks and take the night out are PVT, whose latest recording efforts have had them touring extensively overseas and gaining a steady stream of critical acclaim for their accomplished, intense, experimental sound.

Thurs 12th: Popfrenzy DJs
The beloved Popfrenzy DJs will be keeping the night going - watch this space for more info soon.

Fri 13th: Shangaan Electro and Roleo
First Night favourites Shangaan Electro will be bouncing onto stage for a very special late night set of new wave dance straight out of Soweto, South Africa. Taking traditional Shangaan dance music and revving it up to a frenzied pace they'll have you shaking your booty to the fastest marimba solo's you've ever heard - just try and keep up with the crazily energetic Shangaan Electro.

Fusing elements of trad hip-hop, contemporary wonky, electronic synth madness and glitched, pimped 8 bit flavours beatsmith Roleo will take the Bar into the wee hours. Gaining high rotation on Fbi for his solo efforts while producing for local hop hop crew the Daily Meds, Roleo is one local wonder who won't be staying local for long.

Sat 14th: Tamas Jones (Hey Convict!)
With the PICNIC crew in charge you can be sure this'll be a late one. Champion of all things disco-rock and one half of the internationally renowned Hey Convict! duo, Tamas Jones will be picking up where Neville Watson leaves off. Wide-eyed disco drama, psychedelic guitars tied together by the taught heartbeat of house music. His DJ sets are never the same thing twice, yet always a good time.

Wed 18th: Devola and Kristy Lee
Taking hump day on with avengance, Falcona Agency DJs Devola and Kristy Lee will be providing the party tunes to get you through the rest of the week. Devola (of Hey Now/Dead Letter Chorus fame) has fun and diversity at the core of his sets while Kristy Lee will switch it up to deliver an indie-tilted take on bounce, dance and new-wave.

Thurs 19th: DJ Maestro
Dutchman DJ Maestro spins like he was raised on a diet of soul food and hot pepper and he's bringing his swag of vintage records and contemporary classics to Australia this summer. Best known for remixes on the Blue Note Label, Maestro has a hold on everything that has to do with funk, latin and jazz in the Netherlands, he's founded a radio station, a record label (Dig This!) and is program director at the Swingin' Groningen and the Jazz at the Lake festivals.
