GETTING THERE
Leave the car at home
For information on road closures, alternate traffic routes and parking restrictions visit www.livetraffic.com or call 132 701.
If you're catching a bus:
- There will be extra Sydney Buses services on the main corridors into and out of the CBD
- Some Bus Services will be diverted and temporary terminals will be set up for Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and George St buses where roads are closed.
If you're catching a train:
- Extra Trains will be running between 2pm on Saturday until 2 am on Sunday for:
• Inner West Line between Homebush and Central
• North Shore Line between Gordon and Central
• Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line between Bondi Junction and Central
If you're driving in the CBD:
- Road Closures start at 10am Friday 6 January, with College Street to be shut between Park Street and St James Road until 6am Sunday 8 January, along with the College Street Cycleway, to allow special stages to be built.
- Other roads will progressively close from 8pm Friday 6 January, with all closures to be in place by 7pm Saturday 7 January.

Ride your bike: Stay fit and healthy while keeping Sydney’s air clean, saving money and reducing traffic congestion. Bike parking will be available onsite at Hyde Park and the Domain, thanks to the City of Sydney and the Office of Environment and Heritage
The bike parking at the Domain is located behind the back stage compound thanks to the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney. The nearest street intersection is Corner of Art Gallery Road and Hospital Road.
The Hyde Park bike racks are located at Hyde Park North on the corner of Park & Elizabeth Streets.

No BYO alcohol. No glass at Festival First Night. Food and beverages will be on sale throughout the day in various food & licensed bar areas.
Make sure to be sun smart - wear sunscreen and a hat and drink plenty of water.
We recommend you leave the following items at home: glass, pets, skateboards, thongs and rollerblades.
All areas are accessible.
Access to the City and Hyde Park
For people with a disability being dropped off or picked up in the City, we recommend using the First Night managed access point at the corner of Pitt and King Street. To access this area, you must travel eastbound on King Street, and turn left into Pitt Street. This site provides a small area for vehicles to pull into, and for passengers to disembark. Wheelchair access is available from this point to the CBD and Hyde Park.
