Chinese Garden
The Chinese Garden is the result of a close bond of friendship and cooperation between the sister cities of Sydney and Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, China. The Garden was designed and built by Chinese landscape architects and gardeners. Similar to every classical Chinese Garden, traditional principles govern the use of four key elements of water, plants, stone and architecture, which together combine to create perfect balance.
Access
Due to traditional stonework and paving, some parts of the walkway are rocky or uneven. While pathways and pavilions in the lower garden are suitable for wheelchair access and prams, visitors with a disability may find stairs and rocky pathways in the higher parts of the garden difficult to access.
To book your tickets or if you have any queries please call Sydney Festival on 02 8248 6500 and we'll be happy to assist.
