Driven to New Pastures
‘Rosie Dennis was a revelation...' The Scotsman on Access All Areas/No Entry
The tale of six public-housing residents on the brink of losing their homes, Driven to New Pastures is a funny, poignant and realistic look at how suburban redevelopment affects individuals and neighbourhoods.
Sydney-based artist Rosie Dennis performs alongside 75-year-old Minto local June Hickey. This intimate work highlights the vulnerability of aging and the sense of loss that comes with having to pack up your life and move on.
Commissioned by Campbelltown Arts Centre in 2010.
