It's been a long time between drinks for west coast MC and wordsmith Drapht. Having had a massive 08 and 09,most of 2010 has been spent teaming up with "Brothers Grimm" producer Trials working on the follow up. Drapht has been holed up in a home studio writing, crossing out, rewriting, cutting, pasting, cutting again, deleting, occasionally banging his head against a wall and then finally kicking back and smiling. So has it been worth the wait and the blood sweat and tears? Well, we can't give you the whole picture until the album is out early this year (the album title is "The Life of Riley" by the way) but you will have already heard the first single Rapunzel all over the airwaves this summer.
As previously advertised, Drapht will be joined on stage by: Ru C.L, Radical Son, Katalyst (DJ set) and Hau Latukefu.
Signed to the Sydney based Invada Record stable and having studied percussion and voice production at the Jamaican School Of Music, Ru C.L effortlessly crosses between hip-hop, reggae, dancehall, sing-jay, soul and R&B.
Influenced by his Australian Indigenous and Pacific Islander roots, Radical Son is a powerful singer-songwriter with a magnetic appeal. Blending hip-hop, reggae and spoken word with smooth vocals, he creates a soulful yet contemporary sound.
Plus Hau Latukefu (DJ set).
Over 18s venue only.
