Late in the Garden
Continuing the party well into the night, the Festival Garden plays host to the return of the Band Stand! Brought to life in 2010 by The Sun Chaser Collective and Meem, both artists will return yet again and along with a swag of some of the most creative and independent artists around, create a fun-filled sound track perfectly suited to your night - whether it be to dance, drink or catch up with friends.
Entry to the Garden is free however capacity is limited and subject to availability at all times.
9 January from 10.30pm & 11 January from 8.30pm
Jack Shit's Sensational 78s Scenario - From comedy to opera, jazz and blues to birdsong, hawaiian guitars to country yodels, late classical to early rock and roll - Jack Shit will wow and woo the crowd at the Festival Garden.
12, 16, 19 January from 10.30pm
Tyson Koh - A collection of sounds that traverse between sweet and experimental, intriguing and atmospheric and are all a bit bent one way or another! Building bossa nova with disco, post-punk with library, soul with house and a dash of country thrown in for good measure!
13, 14, 15 January from 11.00pm
The Suitcase Royale - Deliver their collection of swampy dancehall tunes across three rollicking nights of music and madness - pull up a patch of grass, dance floor participation is a must!
20, 21, 22 January from 11.00pm
The Crusty Suitcase Band - Gangster hip hop to soulful dub, gypsy swing and afro beat, their sound is driven by Ben Walsh's high energy and masterful drumming as he supports the power of 5 incredible horn players. From the bass resonance of the massive sousaphone to the intricate melodies of the clarinet - think string quartet but in brass!
23, 26, 30 January from 10.30pm
Meem - spins an eclectic mix of party tunes from boogie to electro-swing, hillbilly to jazz and jump blues to soul.
27, 28, 29 January from 11.00pm
The Sun Chasers - Melding gritty afro-dub with heavy reggae-grooves to create a soulful yet smooth sound.
4 & 5 February from 11:30pm
