Archie Roach & The Tracker - A Night at the Quad: Music & Movies
Due to personal reasons, Archie Roach is not able to travel to Sydney for this evening's event as part of the A Night at the Quad: Music & Movies series. He sends his best wishes for tonight.
In his place, Uncle Jimmy Little AO and Emma Donovan have each generously agreed to perform a short set from their own repertoire to be followed by a Q&A between Lisa Hensley - the host of the series, and the director of The Tracker Rolf de Heer. Then at sunset we will screen de Heer's acclaimed film.
Jimmy Little and Emma Donovan are well known to Sydney Festival audiences, having performed alongside Archie Roach in several celebrated concerts including the recent performance - Nukkan Ya Ruby for Festival First Night.
UNCLE JIMMY LITTLE AO & EMMA DONOVAN
Jimmy Little's recording career began in 1956 and 45 years later he is still making music. In 1999 the ARIA board inducted Jimmy into the ARIA Australian Music Hall of Fame. Emma Donovan has established herself as one of Australia's finest Indigenous singer/songwriters and as a member of Black Arm Band.
