Archie Roach & The Tracker - A Night at the Quad: Music & Movies

Due to personal reasons, Archie Roach is not able to travel to Sydney for this evening's event as part of the A Night at the Quad: Music & Movies series. He sends his best wishes for tonight.

In his place, Uncle Jimmy Little AO and Emma Donovan have each generously agreed to perform a short set from their own repertoire to be followed by a Q&A between Lisa Hensley - the host of the series, and the director of The Tracker Rolf de Heer. Then at sunset we will screen de Heer's acclaimed film.

Jimmy Little and Emma Donovan are well known to Sydney Festival audiences, having performed alongside Archie Roach in several celebrated concerts including the recent performance - Nukkan Ya Ruby for Festival First Night.

UNCLE JIMMY LITTLE AO & EMMA DONOVAN
Jimmy Little's recording career began in 1956 and 45 years later he is still making music. In 1999 the ARIA board inducted Jimmy into the ARIA Australian Music Hall of Fame. Emma Donovan has established herself as one of Australia's finest Indigenous singer/songwriters and as a member of Black Arm Band.

A Night at the Quad
is all about the glorious chemistry between music and film. Lay back on the lawn amidst the grandeur of The University of Sydney's oldest buildings for this special screening plus great live music by artists associated with the soundtrack.

Live music: Jimmy Little and Emma Donovan

In rough bush country in 1922, an Aboriginal tracker leads three white men - The Fanatic, The Follower and The Veteran - in the hunt for a black fugitive, not knowing that their deep-seated racism will be more dangerous than the hunt for the accused.

A selection of food and beverages will be available.

No BYO alcohol or glass. No high chairs.
The Quadrangle is wheelchair accessible. An accessible viewing area for patrons with a disability will be located on the north western lawn.
Further event information, including accessible parking information can be found here
