Leave the car at home

For information on road closures, alternate traffic routes and parking restrictions visit rta.nsw.gov.au or call 132 701 closer to the event date.

For detailed public transport information visit 131500.info/events or call 131 500 closer to the event.

Ride your bike: bike parking will be available onsite at Hyde Park and the Domain, thanks to the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water NSW.

The bike parking at the Domain is located behind the back stage compound. The nearest street intersection is Corner of Art Gallery Road and Hospital Road.

The Hyde Park bike racks are located at Hyde Park North on the corner of Park & Elizabeth Streets.

Take a better road and cycle to the festival. Find out more about cycling in Sydney.

No BYO alcohol. No glass at Festival First Night. Food and beverages will be on sale throughout the day.

Make sure to be sun smart - wear sunscreen and a hat and drink plenty of water.

We recommend you leave the following items at home: glass, pets, skateboards, thongs and rollerblades.

All areas are accessible.

Access to the City and Hyde Park

For people with a disability being dropped off or picked up in the City, we recommend using the First Night managed access point at the corner of Pitt and King Street. To access this area, you must travel eastbound on King Street, and turn left into Pitt. This site provides a small area for vehicles to pull into, and for passengers to disembark. Wheelchair access is available from this point to the CBD and Hyde Park.
