Sydney Theatre is a state-of-the-art home for the best Australian and international performing arts. The space comprises an impressive 896-seat auditorium. All seating in Sydney Theatre is reserved seating.

Wheelchair and Dsabled Access
Patrons wishing to book tickets should do so by contacting Sydney Festival on (02) 8248 6500.

Restaurants and Bars
Sydney Theatre operates two bars on each level of the Theatre, which are open from 1 hour prior to performances.  The Hickson Road Bistro offers patrons a convenient location to have a meal before taking in a performance.  Patrons should visit the venue website for full details.

Public Transport
Public ferry, train and bus services operate to and from The Rocks and Circular Quay. Sydney Theatre is a 20 minute walk from Circular Quay and Wynyard.  Taxis regularly service Hickson Road and can collect and drop off right outside Sydney Theatre.

Car Parking
Hickson Rd has metered parking. They are for a maximum of 4 hours and cost $4.40 per hour before 6pm and $2.20 per hour between 6pm-10pm (so be sure to bring change).

Make sure you arrive at least 1/2 hr prior to the performance starting time as it can take more than 10 minutes to park, get to the theatre and be seated in time.
