CarriageWorks opened in January 2007.  The venue comprises of many function and performance areas.  The two performance areas used by Sydney Festival 2010 are called Bay 17 and Bay 20.  Bay 17 and Bay 20 are dynamic spaces that can change configurations and seating set up depending on the nature of the performance. All seating in Bay 17 is reserved seating. Bay 20 will be used for a Visual Arts installation, which is a free event.

Patrons wishing to book tickets should do so by contacting Sydney Festival on (02) 8248 6500.

Restaurants and Bars
CarriageWorks operates a café in the main foyer of the building, which is open seven days a week.  A theatre bar is also open one hour prior to the performance.

Public Transport
CarriageWorks is a short walk from Redfern OR Macdonaldtown stations.  Bus services depart from the bus stop on the corner of Codrington Street and City Road, which is a five minute walk away.

Car Parking
Parking at CarriageWorks is free of charge. Enter at 229 Wilson Street, opposite Queen Street. There are about 80 car spaces on site. Follow the driveway around to the left, and then follow the signs to the car park and loading dock.
