Festival iCalendar

The Festival 2010 program of events is now available as an iCalendar download. This enables you to find out dates, times and details quickly and view all our events in your desktop calendar application. It makes it easy to check your personal appointments against our Festival schedule and copy events you're attending into your own calendar. Our iCalendar is also compatible with Outlook, Apple iCal and Google Calendar.

To view the Festival 2010 Google Calendar click here.
To add the Festival 2010 events to your own calendar, download the iCalendar file and unzip it here.

If you have any feedback or questions on our Festival 2010 iCalendar email digital.marketing@sydneyfestival.org.au with the subject 'iCalendar'.

What’s an iCalendar?

An iCalendar is a file which contains event information such as descriptions, dates and times, in a calendar-friendly format. Our iCalendar provides the entire Festival 2010 schedule, which you can view against your own calendar and find out exactly when events are on, their location and times.

Supported applications: Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal, Google Calendar, iPhone sync with Apple iCal/Google Calendar.

Import our iCalendar to Microsoft Outlook (Windows)

Download the .ics file available here and unzip it.
Select "File" > "Import and Export" > "Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs)" > Select the "SYDFEST2010.ics" > "Open as New" (be sure to select this so it imports as a separate calendar to your own personal appointments.) The Festival 2010 Calendar is now visible under "Other Calendars" in the left column. Please note we recommend the use of Outlook 2007 for the Festival 2010 iCalendar.

Import our iCalendar to Apple iCal (Mac)

Download the .ics file here and unzip it.
In iCal, import the file by selecting “File” > “Import” > “iCal”
On the “Add events” prompt, select destination calendar as “New Calendar” and press “OK”
The Festival 2010 calendar is now imported, you can see it under the “Calendars” tab in the left column, note how you can turn it on/off easily.

Import our iCalendar to Google Calendar

When signed into Google Calendar, select “Other Calendars” > “Add” > “Add by URL” > Paste this link - http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/qikp9sts2tusr5ui8chjgbstfo%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics > Hit ‘Add’. The Festival 2010 calendar will now appear in your “Other Calendars” box. Click it once to turn it off or on, so as not to interfere with your home or work calendars. To find out more about an event, select it to view a description.
