We hope you've kept tonight free to spend under the stars with the Sydney Symphony. Bundle up a picnic basket and blanket and head down to the Domain this evening to enjoy a free concert with up to 80 000 people.
This year, conductor Paul Kildea celebrates the music of brilliant American composer Leonard Bernstein in a program which showcases the late American composer's genius across a broad range of music styles.
Bernstein, also a conductor, pianist and educator, is perhaps best known for his score of West Side Story. The second half of the program will be filled with new Australian compositions for orchestra as Symphony in The Domain again introduces music lovers to a new generation of composers gaining attention on the world stage.
