You will have noticed a new graphic direction for Sydney Festival. Our yellow balloon is the unifying emblem of our 2010 Festival – a symbol of hope, optimism, renewal and ideas.

To celebrate our new yellow balloon, we want you to show us your city in summer. Take a photo of what summer in Sydney means to you... and include our yellow balloon! Email competition@sydneyfestival.org.au with your name, address and the subject heading ‘Yellow balloon’ to go in the draw to be sent one of 100 Festival balloons. Then upload your balloon photos to our Flickr gallery.

The best photos – as voted by our Flickr community – will be featured on our website and projected onto big screens across the streets of Sydney as part of Festival First Night on January 9. Who knows where else at the Festival your pic might pop up?
