Black Joe Lewis and The Honeybears play a gritty, funky style of self described ‘garage-soul’ with sounds that would pass muster in the toughest juke joint. Featuring an eight-piece ensemble complete with Memphis-style horns, lead man Joe Lewis has a voice described by the New York Post as a ‘soul shouter who can belt it out like a junior James Brown’.
