Husband and wife duo Brett Sparks (vocals, guitar) and Rennie Sparks (bass, banjo, vocals) have been recording as The Handsome Family for 14 years.

Drawing on themes from Gothic fiction as well as American folk music, their storytelling style blends surreal, poetic lyrics about the miracles in everyday life with the sounds of traditional country, Tin Pan Alley, bluegrass and murder ballads.

Showcasing songs from their most recent album Honey Moon, the Sparks celebrate their 20th year of marriage with a series of love songs – odes to sex, devotion, redemption, sacrifice and New Mexico.
