When it comes to making beats, The Bug is as prolific as he is diverse. He runs his own Pathological Records imprint; for over 2 decades he has collaborated as The Bug and under various aliases (Techno Animal, God, Ice et al) with the likes of El-P, Kevin Shields, Antipop Consortium, Ricky Ranking (Roots Manuva), Flowdan, Spaceape and Killa P; he’s recorded for labels ranging from Rephlex and Hyperdub to Virgin and City Slang; and he’s been asked for remixes by Thom Yorke, Grace Jones and Primal Scream.

Steeped in the boombastic rhythms of mirky dubstep, toxic raga and filthy grime, his intense and addictive beats reach past narrow categorisation and bring together influences from dancehall, grime and hip-hop onslaughts.

Since their introduction through Wayne Lonesome on the Razor X Productions project, Warrior Queen plays a vital part of The Bug’s live show and features on his latest Ninja Tune releases. From Kingston, Jamaica, Warrior Queen has also worked with Penthouse Music in Jamaica and UK garage producer Sunship aka Ceri Evans.

Berlin outfit Rhythm & Sound’s stripped down, rootsy, hi-tech dub/techno has earned them legendary status – Mark Ernestus and Tikiman (Paul St Hilaire) bring the sound to Australia for the first time.

Through legendary projects and labels like Basic Channel, Maurizio or Main Street Records, the Berlin-based producer team of Mark Ernestus and Moritz von Oswald* have exerted a decisive influence on the worldwide development of techno-house and electronic music. Under the name Rhythm & Sound, they pioneered their own hybrid of Reggae, Dub and Electronics. In recent years, they have come up with their own and totally unique definition of Reggae.

Joining them are Mark Pritchard, Sub Bass Snarl, Victim, Garage Pressure, MC’s Ozi Batla and Steve Spacek.
