Iag Bari – Brass on Fire is a loud and energetic documentary following the musicians of Fanfare Ciocãrlia as they travel from their Romanian gypsy village Zece Prajini, to some of the world’s great concert halls.
Hilarious and at times muddy, this beautifully shot film is a great insight into the lives of one of the world’s greatest Gypsy bands. The Australian premiere of this award winning documentary will be introduced by members of the band.

The music is great but the story is better. Getting into the lives of the members of this band and its promoters (and family to be) was an eye opener and a privilege. Thank you for a moving experience. |
