Dazzling, enchanting and magically captivating, The Flying Fruit Fly circus tumble, twist and spring back into Sydney with their brand new show.

The Promise is a spectacular fusion of circus and puppetry – dive into a young boy’s imagination while he travels to the far-flung edges of the world with his toy elephant and favourite book. Sparked by a tragedy, he leaves behind the dusty Australian outback, finding new friends and adventure along the way.

The Fruities have garnered accolades across Japan, Canada, Hawaii, New Zealand, Singapore, Nauru, Italy, England, Scotland, China and the USA. They performed at the opening Ceremony of the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and the Closing Ceremony of the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games, as well as at Sydney Festival in 1980, 1989 and 2004.

Join them in 2009 on this wondrous journey filled with amazing adventures and escapades.

Hi Prue, The Flying Fruit Flies are performing on these dates due primarily to the availability of the company. There is lots of other kids stuff on earlier in the Festival. The company are also doing some shows in Wodonga before they come to Sydney Festival. You could contact the company directly for any future touring plans. Thanks
