what time can we pick up tickets for the free kids events and where do we get them? Does this mean that we have to spend all day in the city to see a one hour show in the afternoon? thanks

It says tickets available on day of performance. How does that work? Where and when do I get the tickets? There is alot of planning to get into the city for an event so it would be good to have more information.
